We develop the tooling, machine the parts, and hold the first article against the drawing before a tool goes into full production.

Product development support

We move a concept through material selection, a manufacturability review and sample rounds until one sample is sealed. Everything after that is measured against it.

The four stages are the same in every industry - Align, Execute, Validate, Deliver. What gets measured inside them, and what breaks when nobody measures it, is not. Dozens of projects and hundreds of shipments have run through them.

We verify, we don't certify - the standards below belong to the certified plants that make the goods, and requirements vary by destination market, so confirm the ones that apply to yours before an order moves.

A drawing still has to survive a supplier choice, a plant, a sample round and a site. Our process covers that distance - technical review, sampling, supplier contracts, time on the floor, and the fit check at the end.

How we coordinate

Multi-supplier projects, run as one

We split the project into production packages, contract a supplier for each and run them against one master schedule. You sign once and call one number. The coordination runs across several manufacturers, several materials, several inspections, several packing methods and several delivery schedules.

Every part that has to fit something else carries a stated tolerance, and every finish resolves to a code or a sample - never a description. Packages are contracted separately, ranked on evidence before price, and run in parallel against one master schedule. Whether the job needs one supplier or six, it's still one signature and one number to call.

What usually goes wrong
  • Every factory you add adds decisions nobody wrote down. Where a specification leaves one open, the factory closes it - one four-sentence enquiry for hotel cladding carried six of them.
  • Every manufacturer you add also adds certificates. The most common way compliance quietly fails is a certificate naming the parent company, the trading company that sells for the plant, or a different plant in the same group - not the factory making your goods.
  • A check that lives only in a habit fails on the week everyone is busy, which is why the four Align checks sit in the system rather than in someone’s routine.

Hospitality & interior production

We produce the fixed and the loose side of a hotel together - cladding, flooring, millwork, doors, railings, sanitary ware, aluminium framing, woodwork and FF&E, plus the hotel supplies that furnish the finished room - so parts made in separate plants still meet on site. The four scopes below are how a hotel is actually split for production. They are not a product catalogue.

Scope 01 - Architectural shell & structure

Interior doors, interior panels and HPL panels. Our part: we contract the supplier, read the specification against the drawing, follow the production, run the checks before the cartons close, and confirm the shipment is ready.

Scope 02 - Hard finishes & fixed surfaces

Gypsum elements, stone surfaces, flooring systems, WPC decking, vinyl flooring, tiles, wall finishes, mirrors. Our part: we compare the materials against the requirement, resolve each finish to a code, a sample or a Pantone chip, run the sample rounds, hold the quantity against the panel or tile schedule, and check the produced surface against the approved sample.

Scope 03 - Built-in fixtures, millwork & MEP

Fixed indoor and outdoor furniture, wooden furniture, millwork, cabinets, built-in joinery, sanitary ware, lighting fixtures, lamps, fans. Our part: we close the open requirements before the file goes out, coordinate the production details between the trades that have to meet, check finish and dimension on the object, and set the packing and the document set before the container doors close.

Scope 04 - Loose FF&E & decorative furnishings

Loose indoor and outdoor furniture, paintings, large hanging art, carpets, curtains, louvers and blinds, automatic roller blinds. Our part: we source against the requirement, hold material and finish to the approved reference, take the samples through to approval, set the packing method per item, and number the cartons to the order they will be opened in.

What we check
  • Every material carries the standard a hotel actually needs - fire class on wallcoverings and panel products, low-formaldehyde board, safety glass on anything guests can reach, an impact grade on anything a housekeeping trolley will hit. On the cladding enquiry we published, that last one resolved to EN 438-2 at corridor grade.
  • Fixing method with the structural calculation done by the supplier, packing numbered to install order, and shade matched under D65 daylight.
How it runs
  • The job is split into production packages, each package contracted separately, and all of them run in parallel against one master schedule.
  • The gap list comes back to you before any supplier sees the file.
  • Kewei and the QC team in Foshan hold the produced piece against the sealed sample inside the plant, before it is packed.
  • Where site conditions decide the outcome, one of us goes: site visit coordination, measurement review, assembly planning, on-site support.
  • Cartons numbered to install sequence, and the on-site date set with float in it - on that cladding enquiry, six weeks before reopening with one sample round of float.
What usually goes wrong
  • Risk rarely comes from one product. It comes from details that are connected: measurements, finishes, materials, samples, site conditions, packing and lead times.
  • Description standing in for reference. “Like the stone we saw in your samples, but lighter” is not a specification - lighter is either colour or weight, and those are two different products. An area given as “around 900 m²” became 940 m² and 312 panels once elevations and a panel schedule were drawn against it.
  • Fire doors and sanitary fittings are the two places a hotel package usually stalls - one because Europe still has no single certification route for fire doors, the other because a new EU drinking-water rule is about to reset what counts as compliant, including the alloy standard brass suppliers default to. We track both, so your package doesn't stall on them.
  • WPC decking gets specified on price and fails on heat. In a Mediterranean climate the answer is capped or co-extruded product in light tones, with measured surface-temperature data behind it.
The calendar a seasonal hotel works to

Resort hotels close for the season, so installation has to land inside that window and everything upstream runs backwards from it: specification and tender January to May, orders close April to September, production 60-90 days, delivery to site September to February, installation October to March. Work back from the reopening date and the ordering window is already narrow.

Engineering / CNC / molds

We develop the tooling, machine the parts, and hold the first article against the drawing before a tool goes into full production. Custom parts, molds, CNC work and supplier-coordinated technical manufacturing, all worked from technical drawings.

What we check
  • Every part that has to fit something else carries a stated tolerance. A drawing that does not state one is a drawing the plant will have to guess at.
  • Each drawing against what a plant can actually hold, before the intent is matched to a supplier whose equipment can reach it.
  • The first article against the drawing, before the tool goes into full production.
  • Tooling as a priced quotation line with its own lead time and terms, beside the technical specification and the compliance evidence.
  • Dimension checks, one of the ten control points run before anything leaves the plant.
How it runs
  • Your requirement stays on file exactly as you sent it - message, drawings, files - and that set stays the reference for the whole job.
  • Suppliers are compared against that requirement, or a formal RFQ runs where the scope needs one.
  • Production is tracked against the approved sample, and a milestone advances only when the evidence for it arrives.
  • Inspection sampling runs to ISO 2859-1 at an AQL level agreed per scope before the line starts, with the brief written for the product type.
  • Where tooling or electronics decide the result, Taiwan is on file. Where the tolerance has to come from there, Japan and Korea.
What usually goes wrong
  • The problem is almost never the machining. It is the drawing: an unstated tolerance, a finish described instead of referenced, a substitution with no rule.
  • Timing. A gap found at drawing stage costs a drawing revision. The same gap found after the tool is cut costs a tool.
  • “TBC” in the tooling field. A blank, a dash and a “to be confirmed” all count the same with us, as missing.
  • A certificate issued to a laboratory, an affiliate or another plant in the same group, rather than to the plant that cut the part.

Product development support

We move a concept through material selection, a manufacturability review and sample rounds until one sample is sealed. Everything after that is measured against it. The entry point is a requirement review; the exit is a production-ready item and first samples.

What we check
  • The sealed sample is the reference. Production is tracked against it, and the produced part is held against it - in the same light, and not against a photograph of it.
  • The check is made on the object, by Kewei and the QC team in Foshan, inside the plant, before it is packed.
  • A manufacturability review against what a plant can actually hold, before a supplier is matched to the intent.
  • Material and finish resolved to a code, a sample or a Pantone chip - not to a description.
How it runs
  • Concept, material selection, manufacturability review, sample rounds, sealed sample - in that order.
  • One of our people stands on the floor when the line switches from the approved sample to mass production.
  • You hear about a problem on the day we see it.
What usually goes wrong
  • A factory prototype is not a production sample. The sample that decides anything is the one that came off the line.
  • The first batch passing is not the same as every batch passing. On veneered work the classic failure is finish drift between batches.
  • A report written by the manufacturer that produced the goods is not an inspection. Pre-shipment inspection runs independently of the plant.

Textile & soft goods

We move a fabric spec from swatch to cut goods - weight, weave, colour and finish held to the approved reference, and the same reference used again on the repeat order. The capacity for this sits away from the Foshan base: the Yangtze Delta cluster, 54 suppliers on file and about two hours by air, for small goods, textiles and accessories; Fujian, 24 suppliers and about two hours, for footwear, sports goods and technical textiles.

What we check
  • Fire rating on every upholstered seat and every fabric, before it's an option to sell.
  • Weight, weave, colour and finish against the approved reference - and the same reference again on the repeat order.
  • The comparison is made on the cloth itself, in the same light, not against a photograph of it.
How it runs
  • Swatch to cut goods, with one approved reference held from the first order through to the repeat.
  • Inspection sampling to ISO 2859-1 at an AQL level agreed per scope before the line starts.
  • Packing, labels and item codes checked while the cartons are still open.
  • Where the supplier record is classified, it says whether that supplier manufactures or resells - 205 of the 315 so far - because it changes what a price contains and who can fix a problem.
What usually goes wrong
  • Unrated fabric is the single most common reason we reject a supplier at the specification stage. It isn't a preference; a hotel simply can't install it.
  • The rating is per fabric-and-foam combination, so the testing cost rises with every combination on offer, and it has to be budgeted at specification stage.
  • Drift between the swatch and the cut goods, and again between the first order and the repeat. The defence is one approved reference, physically held, compared in the same light.

Beauty & cosmetic packaging

We fit the carton to the bottle that actually came out of the tool, then check decoration and tolerance on every batch rather than on the first one. Bottles, pumps, jars, boxes, inserts and gift sets for beauty and personal-care brands, with finish and tolerance as the two controlled variables.

What we check
  • Skin-contact and food-contact evidence before production starts, not before shipment.
  • Decoration and tolerance on every batch as it comes off the line, not only on the first.
  • Every certificate against the plant that produced the goods and against the day we are reading it.
How it runs
  • A tool per design, and a quotation line per design carrying its technical specification, its compliance evidence, its tooling, its lead time and its tiered quantities.
  • The line stays locked until its compliance evidence arrives, on every order.
  • Inspection sampling to ISO 2859-1 at an agreed AQL, with packing, labels and item codes checked while the cartons are still open.
What usually goes wrong
  • Compliance treated as a shipping document instead of a production gate. A line stays locked until its compliance evidence arrives, so evidence chased after the line is booked moves the date.
  • The carton drawn against the drawing of the bottle rather than against the bottle that came out of the tool.

Packaging

We take a carton from dieline to folded, printed stock, and check the finish against the approved sample before the run ships. Primary, secondary and retail packaging across materials and finishes - structural cartons, printed sleeves, rigid boxes, inserts, drawer boxes and labels.

What we check
  • The input set is artwork, dieline and regulatory copy, and it runs through to the carton on the shelf on the same order.
  • Finish against the approved sample before the run ships.
  • Packing, labels and item codes while the cartons are still open - the last point at which the check is cheap.
  • Tooling for a printed carton as a quotation line with its own lead time and terms.
How it runs
  • Where the packaging belongs to a product being tooled in parallel, the carton is fitted to the object the tool produced.
  • Inspection sampling to ISO 2859-1 at an AQL level agreed per scope before the line starts.
  • Packaging is one of the categories inside the Pearl River Delta cluster - 158 of the 315 suppliers on file, most of them a short car trip from the Foshan office.
What usually goes wrong
  • A finish described instead of referenced. Every finish has to resolve to a code, a sample or a Pantone chip before the order moves.
  • Regulatory copy treated as a late addition. It is part of the input set, alongside the artwork and the dieline.
  • Sign-off against a photograph. The run is released against the approved physical sample, held in the same light.
